UCD English Language Academy is currently recruiting caring families located close to UCD Belfield campus interested in hosting our adult international students.
By becoming one of our host families you will partake in a real cultural exchange, and become a vital part of our students’ time abroad. You will also receive monetary compensation and support from UCD English Language Academy for hosting our students.

UCD English Language Academy is a premium English School based on University College Dublin (UCD) Belfield campus, Dublin 4. We offer premium short and long term English language courses to adult students aged 18+.
Our mission is to provide our students with an unforgettable experience through delivering the highest quality courses and accommodation.
We welcome students from all over the world who wish to immerse themselves in our culture while improving their English language for their studies, careers or other life goals.
Host families are required to provide one single bedroom per student, breakfast and dinner Monday through Friday, and all meals on the weekends. The student must have access to laundry facilities in the family home.
The student must be treated as part of the family, participate in family conversation, special occasions and must have meals with the family whenever possible.
All families interested in hosting a student must submit an application, references, and are subject to a home visit by one of our experienced staff.
Students bring their own spending money for personal needs, clothes, souvenirs, entertainment, social and school activities, and other incidentals. As a host family, you will not need to provide spending money or an allowance to our students.
We receive students from all parts of the world including Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Spain, Italy and France.
Our students are all 18 years old and upwards.
You can choose to host a student for a minimum of 1 week up to 25 weeks, depending on your availability. However, typically students require short-stay accommodation, between 2 to 6 weeks.
Yes, you can. Providing that you have more than one single room available and that students don't speak the same mother language.
Of course! We welcome all families regardless of shape or size, including single parent households, families with small and/or teenage children or with no children at all.
Payments are made by UCD English Language Academy to the host family. Student do not pay the host family directly.
