VISA INFORMATION

Students requiring a visa to study in Ireland should contact the nearest Irish embassy for detailed information. For information on applying for a visa visit the website: www.irishimmigration.ie/coming-to-study-in-ireland/

The Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade lists the countries from which non-EU/EEA students may enter Ireland without a visa or up to 90 days - www.ireland.ie/en/dfa/visas-for-ireland/ - Students from non-EU/EAA countries not listed on the Department of Foreign Affairs website, who wish to study for up to 90 days must apply for a short-stay C Type Visa.

UCD English Language Academy will provide students applying for a visa with a Visa Support Letter to submit with their application. To receive this letter, all course and accommodation fees must be paid in full. The Visa Support Letter will be issued once confirmation of full payment is received.

The visa application must be submitted directly by the student to the Irish Embassy closest to them. Please note that the UCD English Language Academy has no input or control over the visa process.

VISA REFUSAL

In the case where a visa application is denied, we will refund all fees minus a €150 charge for administration costs.

Please be aware that in cases where misleading, fraudulent, or fabricated documentation has been submitted as part of a visa application, UCD English Language Academy has the right to refuse to reimburse expenses. If your visa application is approved, you must send a copy of the passport stamp and confirmation to us immediately.

MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE

We recommend that all students travelling to Ireland organise medical/health and travel insurance before arriving. EU nationals should bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), which provides access to Irish healthcare services.
