Choose your test date

We have regular IELTS test dates throughout the year, offering both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.

The primary difference between them lies in the purpose for which they are taken. It's important for test-takers to determine which version of the IELTS test they need to take based on their specific goals and the requirements of the organization or institution they are applying to. Both versions assess the four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

  • IELTS Academic: This version is primarily intended for individuals who plan to pursue higher education or professional registration in an English-speaking academic setting.

  • IELTS General Training: This version is suitable for individuals who are planning to migrate to an English-speaking country for work or training, or those who wish to undertake non-academic training or gain work experience.

What is IELTS?

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the world's most popular English language test for higher education and global migration. It measures the ability to communicate in English. It is designed for people who intend to study or work in countries where English is the main language of communication.

The IELTS test is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English, and was established in 1989.

The test has four parts: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. A band score is awarded for each part of the test. The individual band scores are then calculated to produce an overall band score.

Your language skills will be assessed on a scale ranging from 0 (non-user) to 9 (expert user). There is no such thing as a pass or a fail in IELTS.
