Getting To UCD
The UCD campus at Belfield is located in the southern suburbs of Dublin.
The campus is just fifteen minutes from the city centre, fifteen minutes from the coast and thirty minutes to the beautiful Dublin/Wicklow Mountains.
UCD is easily accessible by bus, bike or car. Dublin Airport is only half an hour from our campus via the regular and direct AirCoach service. The airport provides direct connections to about 100 European destinations. We’re just a two-hour flight from London, Paris and Amsterdam.

By Bus
Dublin Bus provides a range of services to and from the Belfield campus.
Commuting to UCD is easy with many bus connections to and from the Belfield Campus.
Bus stops are located at the rear of the Sports Centre and the main terminus next to the Sutherland Building. Stops are also located just outside campus gates at Roebuck Road, Clonskeagh Road, Fosters Avenue and the N11 (main entrance). By Train
Iarnróad Eireann provides a range of services to and from Dublin City Centre.
Dublin is served by two main railway stations: Connolly Station and Heuston Station. It is a short walk from Connolly Station to O'Connell Street, where the Dublin Bus numbers 11 and 46A can be boarded for UCD. The route 145 provides a direct route from Heuston Station to Belfield via the city centre.
By taxi
There is usually an adequate number of taxis in operation in the city centre at any given time.
It is possible to hail a taxi from the street, but convenient taxi ranks are located on O'Connell Street, Middle Abbey Street, Dame Street and St Stephens Green.

By Plane
Dublin is served by Dublin International Airport, which is located north of Dublin City Centre.
There are frequent connecting buses from the airport to the city centre, including a special shuttle service, Airlink which brings passengers directly to Busáras (Central Bus Station, Dublin).
Aircoach operates a service which passes UCD. The Aircoach bus stop is located just outside the main N11 (Stillorgan Road) entrance.
By Luas
Luas services the city centre and suburbs.
The Luas operates three tramlines servicing Dublin city centre and suburbs: the Green Line connects Brides Glen to Broombridge. The Red Line connects Tallaght to The Point. Trams run every 5 minutes at peak time and every 10-15 minutes at other times. As of Winter 2017 both the Green and Red Lines are connected by a third line called the Luas Cross-City.
