UNICARE is a university service designed to enhance the security of property and the personal safety of students, staff and visitors on the UCD Belfield campus. The programme operates through the combined efforts of students, staff, the local Gardai, Buildings and Services and various groups within UCD. UNICARE red emergency phones are located throughout the campus. The emergency telephone number is +353 1 716 7999 (internal no. 7999). Services personnel provide vehicle and foot patrols on a 24-hour basis throughout the campus.
